# Privacy Policy

Effective: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how A-1 Transmission Inc ("A-1 Transmission," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects information about you when you visit our website, use its tools, or call or visit us after finding us on the Site. It also serves as our privacy notice under Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS). Please read it carefully. By using the Site you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site; you can always reach us by telephone at (775) 829-1333 during business hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

## 1. Who we are and what this Policy covers

Operator. The Site is operated by A-1 Transmission Inc, a transmission repair and auto repair shop at 670 East Grove Street, Reno, NV 89502. We have been in business since 1968. Our shop is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday.

Scope. This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, through calls and visits that begin on the Site, and through other communications that refer to this Policy.

What this Policy does not cover. This Policy does not govern the practices of third parties we do not control, such as map providers, review platforms, social networks, government agencies or other websites that we link to, even if you reach them from the Site. Information you give us by telephone or in person at the shop when you bring in a vehicle is described in Section 5.

How the Site is built. The Site is built and hosted for us by our website and marketing provider, YelloPost, on servers located in the United States. The Site has no user accounts or logins and no online payments, and it has no forms to fill out. Its purpose is to provide information about our services and our shop, and to make it easy for you to call us, get directions or visit.

## 2. Definitions

In this Policy, the following terms have the meanings below. Other capitalized or quoted terms have the meanings given where they first appear.

- "Site" means this website, including the plain-text versions of its pages, its summary files for search and answer services, and any other page that links to this Policy.
- "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to or can reasonably be linked to a particular individual or household, such as a name, telephone number, vehicle details or what you tell us during a call. It includes "covered information" as defined in NRS 603A.320 to the extent that definition applies.
- "Request" means a telephone call or visit in which you ask us for information or for work on your vehicle.
- "Service provider" means a company that processes personal information on our behalf to help us operate the Site and our business, and that is not permitted to use it for its own unrelated purposes.
- "Browser storage" means small pieces of information that the Site saves in your web browser using the browser's local storage or session storage features. It is similar in purpose to a cookie but is not sent to our servers with every page request.
- "Cookie" means a small text file placed in your browser by a website or by a third-party service loaded on a website.

## 3. Summary of our practices

This summary highlights the key points of this Policy. It is not a substitute for the full Policy, which controls.

- The Site has no forms. Most people reach us by calling (775) 829-1333 or by visiting the shop, and we collect what you tell us when you do.
- We use the information to answer you, look at and repair your vehicle, keep records, protect the Site from abuse and understand how people find us.
- Analytics and advertising measurement tools load after the page loads unless you choose "Essential only." Our privacy choices card tells you this on your first visit and lets you turn them off at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Site keeps analytics off automatically.
- We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
- We share information with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, and with others only as described in Section 10.
- Nevada residents may direct us not to sell their covered information and may ask to review or correct it.

## 4. Information you provide

Most of the personal information we have comes directly from you, when you call us or visit the shop. What we collect depends on how you contact us and what you choose to share.

Telephone calls. When you call (775) 829-1333, we learn your telephone number and whatever you tell us, such as your name, your vehicle and what it is doing. Calls that come from the Site may be measured by Google Ads, as Section 7 explains.

Visits to the shop. When you bring in a vehicle, we collect the information reasonably needed to look at and repair it, as Section 5 explains.

What to tell us when you call. The Site has a printable list of what to tell us when you call. It works in your browser only and sends nothing to us.

Information about other people. If you give us information about another person, such as a family member whose vehicle you are asking about, please make sure you have their permission to do so.

## 5. Information for your repair visit and information collected automatically

Information for your repair visit. If you bring a vehicle to the shop, we collect the information reasonably needed to look at it, perform the work you approve and keep a record of it, such as your name, telephone number, the vehicle, what it is doing, the work performed and how you pay. This information is collected by telephone or at the shop, not through the Site, and is handled in the ordinary course of serving you and as the law requires.

Server and security logs. Like virtually all websites, the servers that host the Site and the security services that protect it receive technical information that your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the page you requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver pages, keep the Site secure, diagnose problems and prevent abuse.

Browser storage. The Site uses browser storage to remember your choices and keep the Site working as you expect. Section 6 lists each use.

Analytics and advertising measurement. After the page loads, and unless you have chosen "Essential only" or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Site loads Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit, such as pages viewed, how you arrived, how long you stayed, the approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, and whether you took actions such as tapping the telephone number or placing a call from the Site. Section 7 explains these tools and your choices.

Symptom checker and drive-time lookup. The Site's symptom checker and drive-time lookup are tools that help you read general information. We describe what they do in our [Terms of Use](https://a1transmissionrenonv.com/terms/). If you use them, the Site does not ask you to give us your name or contact details.

Third-party resources. Some parts of the Site are delivered by third parties whose servers receive your IP address when your browser requests them. Section 8 lists them.

## 6. Browser storage and cookies we use

The Site itself does not use browser storage to track you across other websites. Information in local storage stays in your browser until you clear it. You can clear browser storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. If you do, the Site will treat you as a new visitor, show the privacy choices card again and forget your accessibility settings. Cookies placed by analytics and advertising measurement tools are placed only when allowed under Section 7.

Every key the Site saves begins with a1t_. It uses browser storage for the following limited purposes, which are necessary for the Site to work as you expect or to remember choices you have made:

- Local storage: your privacy choice ("Accept all" or "Essential only"), so that the privacy choices card does not reappear on every page.
- Local storage: your accessibility toolbar settings, such as text size, contrast and spacing.
- Local storage: which small widgets or notices you have dismissed, so that they stay closed.
- Session storage: a few short-lived flags, such as whether the privacy choices card or the before-you-go call panel has already appeared during this visit. Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab.

## 7. Analytics, advertising measurement and your choices

The privacy choices card. When you first use the Site, a card tells you that analytics tools are used and offers two choices: "Accept all" and "Essential only." You can change your choice at any time by selecting the "Privacy choices" button in the footer of any page, which reopens the card.

Essential only. If you choose "Essential only," the Site does not load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement, and if they were already loaded the page reloads without them. Your browser remembers this choice using the browser storage described in Section 6, so these tools stay off on later pages and visits unless you change your choice. The Site continues to work.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Site keeps analytics off, the same as "Essential only," whatever choice is stored.

Accept all, or no choice. If you choose "Accept all" or simply continue using the Site without making a choice, the Site loads Google Tag Manager only after the page has finished loading. Through Google Tag Manager, the Site loads Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand how visitors use the Site, and Google Ads measurement, which helps us understand whether our Google advertising leads to calls, including taps on the telephone number and calls that come from the Site. These tools set cookies and collect information about your visit and actions on the Site, which Google processes. Google may combine that information with other information it holds about you, such as information associated with your Google account, according to Google's own policies and your Google settings.

Tracking over time and across websites. Unless you choose "Essential only" or send a Global Privacy Control signal, Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites, including the Site.

Google's controls. You can learn about Google's practices and choices at policies.google.com, and you can control ad personalization through your Google account settings. Google also offers a browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics.

Browser-level controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and browser storage, and some offer built-in tracking protection. Blocking all storage may cause parts of the Site, such as remembering your privacy choice, to stop working.

## 8. Third-party resources

Some content on the Site is loaded from third-party servers. When your browser requests that content, the third party receives your IP address and standard technical information from your browser, and it processes that information under its own privacy policy. These resources are:

The Site also contains links to other websites, such as Google Maps, review pages and government agencies. Those websites receive information from your browser only if you click a link and visit them. See Section 21.

- Google Maps. Directions links open Google Maps. An optional map on the Site loads only when you click "Show the map." Our address and hours are also on the Site as text.
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement, which load only as described in Section 7.
- Fonts are not a third-party resource: the Site's typefaces are served from our own server, so no font provider receives your IP address.

## 9. How we use personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

We do not use personal information for purposes that are materially different from those described above without telling you and, where required by law, asking for your consent.

- Responding to you. To answer your questions and tell you whether and when we can look at your vehicle.
- Providing repair services. To look at your vehicle, perform the work you approve, keep records of it and communicate with you about it.
- Measurement and improvement. To understand which pages and advertisements lead people to call us, and to improve the Site, our content, our advertising and our customer service.
- Security and abuse prevention. To protect the Site, our team and our customers against abuse.
- Legal and business purposes. To keep business, tax and accounting records, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims, enforce our Terms of Use, and in connection with a business transfer described in Section 10.

## 10. How we share personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share personal information only as described below.

Service providers. We share personal information with service providers that perform services for us and are expected to keep it confidential and use it only to provide their services to us. They include:

Legal and compliance. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order or other legal process; to respond to lawful requests from government authorities; to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our team, the public or us.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of all or part of our business or assets, or a similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed to the parties involved and transferred as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy or to a notice we provide.

With your direction or consent. We may share information with anyone else when you ask us to or give us permission.

Aggregated or de-identified information. We may use and share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer reasonably identifies any individual, for example the number of calls we receive in a month.

- Our website and marketing provider, YelloPost, which builds and hosts the Site.
- Google, unless you choose "Essential only" or send a Global Privacy Control signal, for analytics and advertising measurement as described in Section 7.
- Providers of the business tools we use to communicate with you, keep records and serve your vehicle.

## 11. Sale of personal information and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not sell "covered information" as that term is defined in NRS 603A.333.

Unless you choose "Essential only" or send a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Ads measurement may allow Google to associate your visit and actions on the Site with our advertising and with information Google holds. Under some state laws, this kind of measurement may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising or as "targeted advertising." We describe it here so that you can decide. You can turn it off at any time by choosing "Essential only" through the "Privacy choices" button in the footer. We treat the "Essential only" choice and a Global Privacy Control signal as your opt-out of this measurement. Apart from Google Ads measurement when it is loaded, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

## 12. How long we keep personal information

We do not keep personal information for a fixed period in every case. Instead, we keep it for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, and then delete it or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. In deciding how long to keep information, we consider:

Information in your browser storage stays in your browser until you clear it. Information collected by Google, when those tools are loaded, is kept according to Google's retention settings and policies. Backup copies may persist for a limited time after deletion from active systems until they are overwritten in the normal course.

- Whether you are a customer, and the time needed to serve your vehicle and answer questions about the work.
- Tax, accounting, recordkeeping and other legal requirements.
- Whether the information is relevant to an actual or potential dispute, claim, investigation or legal proceeding.
- The need to protect against fraud and abuse.
- Whether you have asked us to delete the information and whether we are permitted or required to keep it.

## 13. How we protect personal information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. No method of transmitting information over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. These safeguards include:

- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and the Site.
- Access controls on the systems that hold personal information.
- Limiting access to people who need the information to do their jobs.
- Requiring our service providers to keep personal information confidential.

## 14. Security incidents and breach notification

If we learn of a breach of the security of a system that holds personal information about Nevada residents, we will provide notice as required by NRS 603A.220, in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the system. For residents of other states, we will provide notice as required by the laws that apply. If you believe your information has been compromised through our Site or our communications, please call us right away.

## 15. Nevada privacy notice (NRS 603A.300 to 603A.360)

This section, together with the rest of this Policy, is our notice under NRS 603A.340 to consumers who use the Site. It addresses each element required by that law.

Categories of third parties with whom we may share covered information. We may share covered information with the categories of third parties described in Section 10: our service providers (website and hosting and, unless you choose "Essential only" or send a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics and advertising measurement); government offices and courts for legal and compliance purposes; and parties to a business transfer.

Reviewing and requesting changes. You may review and request changes to the covered information we have collected about you through the Site by calling (775) 829-1333 during business hours, by writing to us at 670 East Grove Street, Reno, NV 89502, or by visiting the shop. Section 18 explains how we handle these requests.

How we notify you of material changes. We will notify you of material changes to this Policy by posting the updated Policy on this page with a new effective date, and, for material changes, by providing additional notice on the Site, such as a notice near the top of this page, for a reasonable period.

Collection over time and across websites. Third parties may collect covered information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site, because Google Tag Manager and the Google tools described in Section 7 load unless you choose "Essential only" or send a Global Privacy Control signal. See also Section 8 and Section 20.

Effective date. This Policy is effective as of the date shown at the top of this page.

Categories of covered information we collect. Through the Site and our online services, we collect the following categories of covered information about consumers who use or visit the Site:

- First name, and last name if you give it to us.
- Telephone number.
- Any other identifier that allows a specific person to be contacted, and information about you that is collected online and maintained in combination with those identifiers, such as IP address and device and browser information.

## 16. Your Nevada right to opt out of the sale of covered information (NRS 603A.345)

Your right. Nevada law gives consumers the right to direct an operator not to make any sale of covered information that the operator has collected or will collect about the consumer. We do not sell covered information as defined in NRS 603A.333. Even so, you may submit a verified request directing us not to sell your covered information in the future, and we will honor it.

How to submit a request. Call us at (775) 829-1333 during business hours and say that you want to make a Nevada Do Not Sell request, or write to A-1 Transmission Inc, Attn: Nevada Do Not Sell Request, 670 East Grove Street, Reno, NV 89502, or tell us in person at the shop. Please include your name and the telephone number you used when you contacted us, so that we can locate your information and verify your request.

Our response. We will respond to a verified request within 60 days after we receive it. If reasonably necessary, we may extend that period by up to 30 additional days, and we will let you know if we do.

## 17. Consumer health data

Nevada law (NRS Chapter 603A, as amended by Senate Bill 370 of 2023) provides protections for "consumer health data." Our Site is about vehicles, not about anyone's health, and we do not seek consumer health data.

If you choose to mention health information in a call or at the shop, we use it only to respond to your request. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. If you would like us to delete health information you volunteered, contact us as described in Section 18.

## 18. How to make a privacy request

What you can ask. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy of it, to correct information that is inaccurate, to delete it, or to stop contacting you by a particular method. Nevada residents may also make the requests described in Sections 15 and 16.

How to ask. Call (775) 829-1333 during business hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, write to us at 670 East Grove Street, Reno, NV 89502, or ask in person at the shop. Please describe your request and tell us how we can reach you.

Verification. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, which usually means confirming information you gave us when you contacted us, such as your name and telephone number. We will use the information you provide in a request only to verify and respond to it.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf where the law allows. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Limits. We may keep information that we are required or permitted by law to retain, such as repair records, receipts and information needed for legal claims, even after a deletion request. We will explain the reason if we cannot fulfill all or part of a request.

Timing. We aim to respond to requests promptly and within the time required by applicable law.

No retaliation. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

## 19. Residents of other states

Visitors from outside Nevada may have rights under the privacy laws of their own states, such as rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Some of those laws apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds and may not apply to a business of our size. To the extent a state privacy law applies to us and to your information, we will honor requests made under it. Whether or not a particular law applies, you may contact us with any privacy request using the methods in Section 18 and we will consider it in good faith.

## 20. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, the Site does not respond to them.

Global Privacy Control. The Site reads the Global Privacy Control signal. When your browser sends it, the Site keeps Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement off, the same as if you had chosen "Essential only." You can also choose "Essential only" yourself at any time through the "Privacy choices" button in the footer.

## 21. Children, links and reviews

Children and minors. The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

Links. The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including Google Maps and government agencies. When you follow a link, the third party's own privacy policy governs what it collects. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Reviews. The Site shows reviews that customers posted publicly on Google, quoted from Google. If you post a review on a review platform, what you post is public and is governed by that platform's terms. If you would like a review of yours removed from our Site, contact us and we will remove it.

## 22. Your contact preferences

We contact you only about your vehicle and the work you ask us to do, unless you agree otherwise. You can tell us at any time to stop contacting you by a particular method, and we do not send marketing text messages.

## 23. Where your information is processed

We are located in Nevada, and the Site is hosted on servers located in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and, in some cases, in other countries where they or their subcontractors operate. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

## 24. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, our services, our service providers or the law. When we do, we will post the updated Policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice on the Site as described in Section 15. Changes take effect when posted, unless the notice says otherwise. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means that the updated Policy applies to your use. Changes will not apply retroactively to information in a way that is materially less protective without your consent where the law requires it.

## 25. Contact
